As we now know, this particular fight was joined and won. The Yellowstone wolves are thriving and the area's ecosystem is becoming healthier each year.
However, there are other matters with which to stay informed in addition to more proposals to introduce. These include finding and prosecuting the persons responsible for the deaths of two male wolves, both in Idaho. Another concern is that the oil companies want to start drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, which is made up of only 5% of the Alaska North Slope that isn't already open to drilling. There are plans being drafted to reintroduce wolves into other areas of the lower 48 states.
